A novel Coronavirus and subsequent disease, Covid-19, were discovered in late 2019 in Wuhan, China. Although Coronavirus occurred about 15 years ago, the "novel" Coronavirus itself is relatively new and was previously not recognized by the scientific community. On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) officially named COVID-19 as a pandemic, as the virus had spread to an unprecedented level in 80 countries, infecting more than 200,000 people and killing more than 8,900 people (since March 19) . Coronaviruses are known to be a large family of viruses that can cause disease starting with their severity. The first serious illness caused by the virus was when SARS (Acute Acute Respiratory Syndrome) emerged in China in 2003. The second deadly virus outbreak caused by the virus was MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) in Saudi Arabia in 2012. On December 31, 2019, the Chinese authorities had notified the WHO of a new outbreak of a new or previously unidentified Coronavirus virus. This disease has become a global problem and there has been an outbreak of many nations as well, to end this human disease from human infection, which has caused more ripples in different economies.
According to researcher Josie Golding, epidemics at the UK-based Wellcome Trust, the virus is a product of natural mutation that completes many ideas about intentional genetic engineering. It is more believed that the virus came from its present pest status through natural selection in a non-human host and then flew to more humans through the food chain. Researchers have suggested that bats are the most likely reservoir for the Coronavirus novel since they are similar to the baton virus.
On January 30, 2020, India confirmed its first trial of the novel Coronavirus - a student who had returned to Kerala from Wuhan University. This was followed by two other cases, again in Kerala. All three have recovered from the infection and extreme measures have been taken to prevent them from spreading the disease. As of March 19, the total number of confirmed cases in the country is 173 with Maharashtra at the highest level with 47 followed by Kerala and Karnataka. The number of deaths reported in India as a result of the virus is four and it seems almost every day a new city is tried to be good, thus increasing the tally to an alarming rate.
To control the spread of the virus, there have been many doors and gates in the country. Many schools and colleges have closed, and even the Class 10 and 12 CBSE and ICSE exams are being re-addressed. Pools, cafes, bars and any other form of public meeting are strictly prohibited and if guilty of infringement, they will be subjected to heavy fines or revocation of licenses. Looking at the economic outlook, this could have a major impact on the various sectors of the Indian economy namely tourism, aviation, hospitality and business.
The government has banned the transportation of all ventilation as well as surgical and surgical masks and textile materials used to manufacture these masks to seek distribution of the material as the number of patients infected with Coronavirus grows. When the first cases of the Coronavirus novel were reported in India, it caused a shortage of essential substances like sanitizer and masks because of the purchase of panic. There were also black markers, who sold these products at five times the original price; even alternative options for these products were floating.
Many industry experts agree that the impact of the novel Coronavirus will have a low impact on the Indian economy. The aviation industry is one that is undoubtedly most shaken. Ronojoy Dutta, CEO of Airlines Airlines has announced the layoffs of all employees as there was a sharp decline in airline revenue. In order to discourage people from using public transportation (to prevent deterioration of public places), the government has slowed down its pace and also avoided any policy of raising prices. Work from home and online classes is done to prevent people from traveling, but this leads to the sad reality of social inequalities where for many people they do not have access to luxury technologies since most of our employees are daily wage workers. Because of the false message in circulation that Coronavirus is caused by excessive consumption of meat, people are avoiding the use of meat, egg and fish, which is a major blow to the livestock industry - the price of poultry dropped from 70 rand to 10 kilograms. The industry is badly affected as it employs more than two crore people, which had a negative impact on other sectors as there was a reduction in maize and soybean purchases used to feed these animals. These steep changes in the economy reduce uncertainty and risk
