Most researchers need to keep their secrets of getting a job in the office. I know you can have good friends with whom you have shared over the years, with whom you have shared many secrets, but believe me - it is a good practice not to tell the people you work with.
Of course this reduces the chances of your manager or any of your colleagues getting your departure plans, but this is also beneficial to your employer as it does not affect team morale or productivity, or cause some people to start worrying about future changes. (we humans hate change, for good or for bad).

Post-work interview or vacation, don't be sick to attend the interview - We plan a weekly interview, so we know how difficult it can be, especially if the hiring company is flexible and available to you after hours. However, hitting or killing a medical appointment is not a good idea - taking a day off or a day off. If you have an interview scheduled to work, it might be a good idea to take clothes with you and change them.
